Me too! At least I was until it was explained to me…let me tell you the story and see what you think…

👂 During a networking event, a new contact listened carefully after asking about Akeno. He then said:

“You’re the gardener that every business needs. First, you listen to the client’s needs, you look at the environment and budget you have to work with, and you plan the garden makeover. You then roll your sleeves up and do the big job of landscaping the garden.

However, if you stop there, the garden may not continue to look it’s best. Without regular maintenance, weeds could take over the flower borders, the lawn may get rough around the edges, and the patio could become unsightly. Ultimately, the initial investment in the transformation could end up wasted. ❌

To get the most from the investment, the homeowner should bring you back in to maintain the garden, and therefore continue to get the benefits of the transformation.”

He said that too many businesses spend “big bucks” on the transformation project (landscaping the garden), and not enough on the ongoing maintenance and continual improvement (the gardening). 💴

And thus, his advice to me was to encourage our clients to not stand us down completely after a successful business transformation programme, but instead, to allow us to remain as the ”transformation gardener”. 👩🏽‍🌾

This ongoing light-touch engagement ensures the transformation continues to deliver and evolve. 📈✅🤝
